So not big on Halloween but we went to a kids party and this was the cake made by my friend Louise. She also made these cute cupcakes. Cake me up over sweets any day!
Kitty wanted to wear her ladybird dress AND be a cat. Why not?!
And this little number is in its 4th year of wear. Not bad, not original either but hey!
Hope you had a spectaular weekend. xx

FAVOURITE BLOG FRIDAY: House of Philia
At this very moment, if i could make a favourite of all my favourites, this would be it.
So this week Benita introduced me to some of her favourite Swedish blogs...in Swedish. House of Philia was the first one i looked at and i didn't stop looking until i had reached the very beginning. Enough said. (Probably less time consuming because i couldn't actually read the words, although i did stop to Google translate a fair few sections! P.S I love you google translate! xx)
With this blog i could have made 20 posts! She's got 3 kids and keeps her house so stylish and beautiful still. A new favourite for you too perhaps?

So Cool House Stamps
Sometimes i look and think that an idea is so cool i wished i had thought of it first, except i don't know how to make a rubber stamp and Holly does! She is a wonderful British artist who amongst other things designs stationary and wedding stamps from pictures of people's houses. Another one for the list i think! Fancy one?... here at Hollys Houses.
Oh and on another note entirely. Spare 5 minutes? Check out an excerpt of the travel album she made after a 6 month trip around the world. Awesome! Another one for the to do list! That darn list is way too long already.

Cuteness unparalleled...in a coat
And its not even for me! Belle and Boo you've outdone yourselves! This colour is one of my all time favourites, the style - well who doesn't love a pixie coat and that adorable embellishment. Only £55. Well Ok not cheap but not ridiculous. If only it were not wool. (100% Merino wool at that but i bet it is still vaguely itchy?)
I just can't stand to touch it. Makes me feel icky. I know i'm a bit random about wool related products...can't do Jan Constantine either, which i love. Shame ;( So i'll just wallow in the beauty of it instead! If you don't care, you can get it here.

Magazine Organisation
This week i need to sort out my magazines and tear outs as they are overflowing the boxes i've stuffed them in and I'll definitely be using Chez Larsson's excellent organisation guide.
Benita is an organisational Queen and as much as i am probably the total opposite of her i cannot stop myself from coming back for more.

Crayon Pancakes
So if, like me you have a child who eats crayons you will also have zillions of teeny tiny bits of crayons living in your house. Here is what to do.
1. Remove any paper and break up into small pieces in an old cupcake tin.
2. Cook in the oven at 150 degrees for about 20 minutes or until melted.
3. Leave to cool overnight.
4. Hey presto! Crayon pancakes.
I love the way this grey and black one has come out like a face!

FAVOURITE BLOG FRIDAY: Two Tall Blondes
Who wouldn't love two tall blondes? (a midwest-based design collaborative : packaging + greetings + advertising + typography + announcements + invitations + calligraphy + web.) Tobe and Jess are currently giving their website a spring clean, but their blog needs no sprucing at all. I love the random mixture of inspiration in their posts. You never know what you're going to see when you pop in and say hello.
Great diverse collection of visual inspiration. Check it.
