A certain brand new 4 year old became a mermaid for the day. Happy Birthday Beautiful Girl.

Starting to think i overdid it on the Caribbean blue!

 Now don't look too closely. I made it!

 Homemade mermaid bookmarks and cut and colour sheets. Got to love a handmade goody bag!

Unfortunately, i have time management issues and lots of the photos are an after thought. So no pictures of beautifully set rooms or the sea caves before all the kids wrecked it! I hope other people forget to take pictures at their kids parties too!

Home is where the heart is...giveaway

Have you seen this gorgeous book giveaway over at Northern Light. This book looks just my thing. That whole Scandinavian vibe just gets me every time.

I love just browsing through books in my new bookshelf (hint to self...take photo of new bookcase.)

It's one of the bad things about moving house...loading up the boxes with heavy hardbacks but it is so worth it when you can get them all out again. I have some books i bought 15 years ago before i owned even my own room but i fell in love with the pictures. Picture books are like magazines to me, doesn't matter how much i try to stop buying them they just keep on appearing!

Hoping to add this one to my collection!

Beauty is not unblemished

Hair tutorial...my hairdresser rocks!

So i was inspired by A cup of Jo showing me this beautiful tutorial to post my own. My hair is much more bob like so much harder to do anything with but what can i say? My hairdresser Zoe is a legend!

If you want to put your shortish hair up like this...follow the iphone picture steps!

 

Start with a short plait to the side. Bunch out the top section by pulling it out a little.

 

Put a small bun in the back.

 

Then pull sections of hair back and fix with grips around the bun.

 

Back comb the top sections of hair and affix in the same way.

 

Voila...longish type hair do for medium short type hair!

Ooh and messy new bangs too!
