sofabed shopping

Now there's a new bambino on the way we decided to whip out and get ourselves a new on sale sofabed for the kitchen. Wtf? I hear you ask! Well this solves two problems. We want to define the areas in our kitchen and make it a bit cosier, plus put a coffee table and tv in one area so the kids can chill while i prepare breakfast blah blah and not trash our lounge (the new babe will come a month or so before Kit starts school and i am so NOT a morning person...thinking it could be real bad trying to get out before 8.30am ...this may help?!) And we may have to at some point get rid of our spare room and give it to a child who lives here permanently!...hence the sofa bed. Up to speed? Well i was inspired by these...

(Thinking pink to add a bit of life into our kitchen...big and beautiful but a little lifeless shall we say?) The Nancy and the Florence both from Sofa Workshop. What do you know...most beautiful styles of sofas don't come in sofa beds. Still we ended up ordering Harry instead and we're hoping he won't mind that we've covered him in pink!

 A slightly darker fuschia pink. Still we have to wait 10 weeks to meet him. All i need now is a fabulous coffee table and some moroccan pouffes. What do you think? I'm hoping Anna will approve!

Black & Spiro is back!

And it looks just gorgeous.

Black white, pink and yellow...seriously my favourite colours. OOh and turquoise. What's not to like?!

 And i'm loving the navy blue and coral combo.

Small Cool from Apartment Therapy

Just found these pictures of an amazing apartment of just 285 square feet via Apartment Therapy. That involves a serious amount of organisation, tidiness and innovative storage! How cool to see the bedroom integrated into the studio whilst still being able to retain some privacy and separation. Very clever!

I have seen pictures of her house on many blogs and it never stops me wanting to look again and again and well like a zillion times. That Aussie chick has style. I mean just 'google - ing' her brings up a wealth of beauty before your eyes. All of these photos (except the first) are taken from one of her two sites below.

What i really love is the more you look at her pictures and house tours (like the apartment therapy one here, where the first photo is taken from,) the more you realise how she moves her furniture and accessories to make style changes to rooms and it works every time. I wonder how many of us could just do with moving some pictures and furniture around from time to time?
