Lounge Pictures
These prints were a present from Nick at Christmas...finally got around to putting them up somewhere. Though he tried to get this one for me which i LOVE but it was sold out at the time. Maybe i could sneak another one on the wall?!
My wallpaper has arrived but due to the lack of my papering skills it's going to be another month before someone can put it up for me!
I'm taking in my cushion from the old leather chair to be be reupholstered this week. The end is in sight. This room WILL be done...er...soon.

Quick Kids Bedroom Update
So Kitty has a big bed. Seb has Kitty's bed...the cot is waiting for the bambino!
This is how it looked before.
Heart and star duvet cover from the new children's bedding range at John Lewis 'Little Home'. Star quilts from Zara Kids. I love how you can use both sides. Either pink and white stars or white with pink stars. Seb has the same in the perfect turquoise to match the wall!
I'm thinking i might be over the wall stickers?
By the way...Do you realise how difficult it is to get your hands on a decent cot bed/junior bed duvet cover?
It's hard ...unless you like Disney characters or baby style trains etc... Everything is in single or cot size. That's why Seb has ended up with plain white, but i kinda like it anyway.

lemon fresh
Our cupboard has had a funny 'whiff' ever since we moved in. Some kind of chemical smell. A good scrub and a lemon left in overnight seems to have done the job. You got any good cleaning tips?

Black table project : Before and after and in between!
Before...
Though in truth i should never have let my husband loose on this first. He sprayed it with yucky sticky black spray that ran and we ended up having to sand it all back again and start from scratch. It still has a few sticky bumps that were too hard to sand off. Never again. Though in the future if it gets scratched up too quick a little sand back didn't look as bad as i thought. It's got a little something about it huh?

sofabed shopping
Now there's a new bambino on the way we decided to whip out and get ourselves a new on sale sofabed for the kitchen. Wtf? I hear you ask! Well this solves two problems. We want to define the areas in our kitchen and make it a bit cosier, plus put a coffee table and tv in one area so the kids can chill while i prepare breakfast blah blah and not trash our lounge (the new babe will come a month or so before Kit starts school and i am so NOT a morning person...thinking it could be real bad trying to get out before 8.30am ...this may help?!) And we may have to at some point get rid of our spare room and give it to a child who lives here permanently!...hence the sofa bed. Up to speed? Well i was inspired by these...
A slightly darker fuschia pink. Still we have to wait 10 weeks to meet him. All i need now is a fabulous coffee table and some moroccan pouffes. What do you think? I'm hoping Anna will approve!
Obviously Ms. Spiro!
(Thinking pink to add a bit of life into our kitchen...big and beautiful but a little lifeless shall we say?) The Nancy and the Florence both from Sofa Workshop. What do you know...most beautiful styles of sofas don't come in sofa beds. Still we ended up ordering Harry instead and we're hoping he won't mind that we've covered him in pink!A slightly darker fuschia pink. Still we have to wait 10 weeks to meet him. My Home: The toilet
So i promised you a tour of my home. Today you get the downstairs loo, toilet, cloakroom or whatever you want to call it.
The inspiration.
Chantilly Vivid turqouise tiles by Fired Earth. I fell head over heels with these and had to buy some even though i didn't know at the time where to put them. They reminded me of the ocean and in particular The Whitsunday's where we spent some time on our honeymoon. They were too expensive to do a whole bathroom or kitchen with so i needed a small space. This room was perfect.
But where are the tiles you ask??
I love this taupe grey colour of Fired Earth's Malm but really i needed a colour that would work well with the terracotta floor tiles and the turquoise wall tiles...that haven't been put up yet. So really this isn't even a finished project. (Don't hold your breath, nothing is!) But...
This is what it used to look like
An improvement?

Sneak Peek: My Home Tour
I think one of the my favourite things on the blogs i read is the home tours. Up until now i have been reluctant to show my home because it is not finished. It's in a mid state. We moved in January of this year and really the house needed very little work overall but it is not necessarily how i would like it.
Hey ho. Time and money folks.
Anywhoo...now i have reached 100 posts (enter my giveaway) i have decided to get ready to photograph and do a house tour sometime in August for you, before i go and change it and make it even more fabulous. You have probably picked up some of what it looks like from previous posts but here's a sneaky peek if not.
And remember i'm not called procrastination mama for nothing, but i promise to post it sometime in August!! xx

New Tablecloth
in guess what? My favourite combo of the moment, black and white.
Took a quick trip to Ikea yeaterday and saw this when buying some other fabric. I LOVE it. Actually i think it must be the same fabric that Isabelle used over at DOS Family to make her Picnic blanket and high chair cover .
