Saw these illustrations on current trends in the latest issue of Babekins magazine, (which by the way is their best EVER.) Aren't they divine?!
Lola ...(great name ;) is an Irish artist living in Galway. She also sells some her prints and work via Etsy, but i'd love to see some more children's work for sale.

Favourite Blog Friday: Another Day Up!
Another Day. So beautiful, so simple. The art and creativity is inspiring and her photos are divine. A documentary of family life.
Her blog makes me want to be able to read French a whole lot better than i actually can...so i'm using it as practice! Sometimes she writes in English too...but with her photos, who needs words?
Also check her link to the French Workshop, providing design, portraits and illustrations plus art and creativity classes for kids. If only i lived near those workshop classes, Kitty would be in heaven!

It's raining again
It won't stop. What has happened to August? Oh wait... I live in England!
Anyhoo, it makes me want this Belle and Boo print.
When our friend was over the other day and the kids were moaning about playing outside we let them go out in their underwear to dance in the Summer rain. It lasted less than 5 minutes and after drying them up they were quiet for ages. Worked a treat and it was supercute. Not quite as sweet as this picture though - and there was no duck. Never as cute without a white duck.

Vintage Travel Art
Inspired by a picture in this months Lonny, i went searching for some vintage art. I just adore these. Something about them makes me breathe the past and what it must have been like to visit these places back in the day. I'm smelling the dream from a generation on and it smells good.
